Maria Sharapova: Tax fraud investigation on luxury housing project in India

Maria Sharapova, a famous tennis player has been under investigation regarding a fraud probe on a Luxury High Rise Apartment in India. A large number of dollars have been taken from this project; so, therefore, local India Police Officer Arivind Sharma has classified this case as a cheating offense in court.

It was in 2012 when Sharapova traveled to India to publicise her luxury apartment project, which boast luxury facilities like a clubhouse, tennis facilities & a helipad atop the apartment rooftop complex. As various sources mention, the objective of this luxury high rise apartment was to allow owners to have their liabilities, to enhance this property; developers used celebrity names to attract buyers to purchase the high-end apartments.

The Luxury apartment should be completed by 2016 in the New Delhi capital city of India due to the investigations the construction work has completed and abandoned after the money was collected from the developers. The statement confirms that Sharapova made almost USD $30 million in 2015 and will return to her tennis career in April.
