EU ATAD (Anti-tax Avoidance Directive) Coming in with a Bang

The EU is moving forward in its efforts to create a zero-tolerance tax avoidance attitude. Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive (ATAD) came into force at the start of this year (January 1st), targeting the most common corporate tax avoidance practices in order to powerfully eliminate future loopholes and deter enablers within the EU.

All Member States must now apply new lawfully binding anti-circumvention measures at national levels targeting the key methods of tax avoidance by profit-shifting.
