China & Singapore to Upgrade Free Trade Agreement By the End of 2018

On September 20th, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Teo Chee Hean announced that by the end of this year, Singapore and China are planning to significantly modernise the free trade agreement, which first entered into force in 2009.

It is also expected that the renewed agreement (CSFTA) will be able to provide the Singapore business with a simplified trading procedure and enhanced investment protection measures in China.
