Apple Reimburses Ireland EUR €14 billion in Lost Tax

US tech giant Apple has reportedly settled the Ireland's government over EUR €14 billion as viewed by the European Commission as using the company’s Irish subsidiary to be unlawful; and has ordered Apple to pay state aid to Ireland in compensation.

Both Apple and Ireland still can't help contradicting the Commission's choice and are trying to have it repealed in the European Court of Equity, most likely quite a long while from now. In the meantime, the total is presently sitting in an escrow account.
