Alibaba against start-ups hiring top managers from large corporations

Mr Jack Ma the Founder and Chairman of Alibaba; China’s largest e-commerce platform, has come forward with a lesson he apparently learned the hard way when Alibaba was just a small start-up company. The lesson is the following:  it can be quite detrimental to the success of a start-up, to hire top executives from large multinational corporations. "Don't try to put a Boeing 747 engine inside" he warned entrepreneurs and start-up owners at a Jumpstarter conference in Hong Kong on Tuesday, “It will destroy you.” According to Chairman Ma, it is best to find people that would suit the companies current functionality, instead of being overly concerned with the management’s previous employment history.
