40 Chinese tourists tear gassed and robbed in Paris
According to the Chinese Embassy in France, a Chinese tour group was attacked and robbed in Paris by four assailants who were armed with tear gas in the early evening on Thursday.
The newspaper, Le Parisien, states that the 40 tourists had just returned from a shopping trip and were crowding around in the car park of the Kyriad Hotel in the Val-de-Marne suburb at 8:20pm.
The four assailants ran into the car park spraying tear gas at the tourists according to local media reports. They then fled the scene with 9 large bags, filled with many luxurious items.
The attack is reminiscent of the incident where Chinese tourists were attacked in the suburb of Aubervilliers in Paris in August last year.
The Chinese Embassy have reportedly contacted the French police to prompt them to solve the case and bring the assailants to justice.
