LinkedIn still blocked in Russia, as negotiation talks prove unsuccessful

Popular social media website LinkedIn has reportedly been unsuccessful in reaching an agreement with Russian authorities to restore public access to the website. Russia famously blocked access to LinkedIn’s website last year after the company was found guilty of violating privacy laws that require companies to obtain and hold user data in order to store it on Russian servers. Both LinkedIn and Russian regulators stated they were seeking to resolve the issue but acknowledged that their meetings had been unsuccessful. Further resolution seems to be redundant at this stage.
