Ireland’s Companies Registration Office has announced the launch of its central register of beneficial ownership has been ‘temporarily postponed’. The register was established by the EU (Anti-Money Laundering: Beneficial Ownership of Corporate Entities) Regulations 2019, which came into official effect last month on June 22nd; requiring existing Irish-based companies to submit beneficial ownership data by the November 22nd deadline later this financial year. No new launch date has yet been revealed yet.
