Investors withdraw proposal to list US Bitcoin on the NYSE

By in

Last week, Intercontinental Exchange Inc’s New York Stock Exchange withdrew an application with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to list American company Grayscale Investments LLC’s as an official Bitcoin Investment Trust. This is a small setback for those wanting to facilitate the Bitcoin trade to allow investors to trade digital currencies as easily as shares and other bonds.

While cryptocurrency market regulations are having to rapidly evolve to keep up with this new digital trend; currently, Grayscale Investments stated that there haven’t been enough developments in legislation to prompt the SEC to approve their application. The CEO announced that they would continue their negotiations with regulators in the US.
