I am regularly reading news about Cyprus. I can see that there are more and more criminal activities occurring in Cyprus.
Examples could be the following – blowing up small bombs at office entrances, setting office front doors and cars on fire is becoming regular news. However, felonies are seldom occurring in Cyprus and this is what makes Cyprus a safe place ultimately.
I remember a story told to me by my Cypriot friend about his compatriot while he was living and working in the USA. The story starts as follows – a young Cypriot was driving a car in the evening and stopped before a red traffic light waiting for the green light. At that moment an African American approached his car, pulled out a gun, pointing at him and started to demand something from him. That individual was so shocked with what happen that on return home he packed his stuff and left his American dream unfulfilled by returning to Cyprus.
