Hong Kong: AML Measures Fully Comply With International Requirements

By in

The Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF) evaluated the measures Hong Kong has taken to combat money laundering. According to the results of the audit which was announced at the FATF plenary meetings last month, Hong Kong AML regime was found to comply with international requirements.

However, the jurisdiction still needs to make efforts in the matter of prosecution for crimes related to money laundering as well as contribute to the implementation of measures by small institutions and strengthen control over compliance with such measures in some areas.
