Free public healthcare in Cyprus in discussion stages

By in

Offering free public healthcare in Cyprus has been the subject of endless discussions and negotiations or governmental and parliamentary bodies. A system similar to the NHS in the UK whereby a small percentage of taxpayer money contributes towards funding a free public health service for all. However last week, finally a step in the right direction was achieved. Universal coverage for all, an equitable system and freedom of choice for all patients are the most important priorities supporting the planned system, with all members of society in Cyprus contributing a part of their revenue to help fund its operation.
