The UK government have highlighted that changes to law will mean that the automatic rights of EU citizens to live, work and enter the UK freely as the law currently stands, are coming to an abrupt end when the UK will leave the EU on October 31st.

Experts are questioning how UK immigration officers receiving incoming citizens will differentiate between EU residents with Settled and pre-Settled status, by the end of October which is a little over a month away now.

There are roughly one-million EU citizens that have subscribed to the program, there are approximately 3 million EU citizens eligible for this status, which means that a remaining 2 million current residents must subscribe prior to 2020.
