European Central Bank: Policy Decision for Bond Purchasing

On Thursday, the European Central Bank (ECB) in an attempt to stabilise the eurozone, announced a pledge to increase bond purchase until the end of September.

According to Mario Draghi, the ECB President, the inflation of the eurozone is extremely low and the main objective currently is the price stability.

Kjesti Haugland, Chief Economist of DNB Bank, commented on the policy decision of ECB; stating that it is an important step with a strong possibility that the ECB will achieve finalising asset purchasing until September.
