Europe Rules in Favour of Chinese Investment Screening

Last week in Strasbourg, 104 Members of the European Parliament overwhelmingly voted in favour of implementing a far-reaching system in order to better coordinate the monitoring of direct foreign investment.

In a move particularly aimed at Chinese investors and to protect strategic infrastructure and technologies within Europe. The vote was a resounding 500 in favour of the legislation, with only 49 voting against it and 56 votes of non-participation.
