EU Urges UK to Hold Early Elections

By in

The European Union indicates that the UK would need to hold early elections if the nation cannot sign the final agreement on the withdrawal of Britain from the EU.

So, if the UK remains in the European Union after the first meeting of the new assembly to be held on July 2nd, 2019, residents of the UK will have to elect their legal representatives for the next European Parliament.

Supposedly, the UK is going to leave the EU at midnight on March 29th but not so long ago, British parliament did not accept the resignation of Prime Minister Theresa May, although the departure of the “iron lady” was agreed with the European Union the day before her election.

London needs more time to coordinate its own position on the terms of exiting from the EU.
