Graduate Employment Rates in Cyprus are One of the Lowest in Europe

According to the report of the European Commission, published on April 11th, Cyprus is one of the four EU countries with the lowest employment rate of university graduates.

The highest employment rates among graduates are registered in Malta – 94.5%, followed by Germany (90.9%) and the Netherlands (90.4%).

The lowest similar indicator is in Greece (only 52%), followed by Italy (55.2%) followed by Croatia (65.9%) and Cyprus (71.5%).

The report highlights that public spending on education remains high but the education system and its effectiveness are still major challenges.
