Out of 106 countries with enough data to analyse security, Cyprus come in 5th place worldwide as the safest country to live in, and an impressive first place with a population under 5 million. The key factors taken into account to decide the figures were: CO2 emissions, average life expectancy, national police personnel, traffic related deaths, theft & assault cases, per 100,000 people. Cyprus and the other 4 countries that made the top have an average 46.62% lower safety score than other countries that participate in the study. Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, Japan joined Cyprus in the top 5 safest countries worldwide.
