Cyprus Tightens Visa-Through-Investment Scheme

By in

Following pressure from the European Union and the OECD, the government of Cyprus was forced to make changes regarding the scheme for obtaining citizenship through investment.

In future applicants will have to undergo a personal data check carried out by companies specialised in this field. They must also be holders of a Schengen visa allowing them to stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days.

The applicants who have been rejected by other EU member states will also not be able to obtain a Cyprus visa.
