Police have advised internet users to be attentive online after a new form of internet fraud has emerged in which victims are tricked into paying money to be given work visas in a number of European countries. The fraudsters are posing as officials working for a European consulate company. Police have released the email address being used to entice hopeful applicants is: consular.workerpermit@diplomats.com.

The thieves have tried to steal money online after promising to supply working visas to candidates looking to work in Cyprus, asking them to fork over €450 for false temporary work visas.
