Cyprus: Larnaca Finds a New Lease of Life

By in

The authorities of Larnaca have outlined plans for the next 5-6 years.

Now under the leadership of a new mayor Andreas Vyras a large number of various projects are realized in Larnaka: from the modernization of the port to the dismantling of fuel tanks in the city.

It is reported that the projects involve both foreign investments and funds from the city budget.

In the near future, it is planned to ‘renovate’ the area of the Old Town, stretching from the coastline to Gregoris Afxentiou avenue; there are six new small boutique hotels recently built, which coupled with the Ayios Lazaros square and the renovation of old buildings and including the new Municipal market will add popularity to this neighborhood.
