Cyprus: Electricity Tariffs Set to Increase Again

By in

According to representatives of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (ЕАС), in November, the cost of electricity for the population will be increased by a further 4%.

The head of the EAC Mr. Andreas Marangos said that, unfortunately, the organisation has no other means to cut costs. This is due to the constant fluctuations in oil prices. The only thing that can contribute to the electricity tariffs stabilisation is the use of renewable energy sources and the extraction of natural gas.
