Cross-Border Info Exchange Catches 200 Tax Avoiders Who Missed the Ireland Amnesty

The Irish Revenue Department (IRD) has levied fines on 200 individuals who did not disclose their assets as per the overseas voluntary disclosure scheme that was running until May in 2017.

A spokesperson for the IRD stated that some of the avoiders were identified via new cross-border disclosure agreements for the automatic exchange of information between jurisdictions.
