China Reviews Relations with Cyprus

According to sources, China considers Cyprus as a strategic partner. Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that during the meeting with President Nikos Anastasiadis, expressing his “unwavering support” in resolving the Cyprus issue. During the meeting, the heads of government assured each other that the status of relations between the two countries remained unchanged; also, bilateral agreements were signed.

President Xi Jinping said that China supports and will continue to support the island authorities’ position regarding the maintenance of the presence of the UN peacekeeping forces in Cyprus.
