Since 2009, China is the main partner of African countries in the field of trade. If in 2000 the trade amounted to USD $10 billion, then in 2014, according to experts from the west, the figure sky rocketed to USD $220 billion.

In 2018, China intends to significantly increase its economic influence in Africa: over the past 20 years it has become the leading trade and financial partner of several states on the continent.

According to financial experts, Chinese investment in the economy of African countries can create on the continent an economy that ‘totally depends on China.’
