China & the US continue to exchange data regarding espionage

The US have been suspicious of China’s activities in relation to stealing secret information and espionage activities.The authorities in the states have commenced legal proceedings on a group of Chinese citizens for economic espionage and theft of trade secrets.
The department of justice in the US have commenced legal proceedings on 6 citizens of China, including three professors who are students at the University of South California in an attempt to collect restricted information and documents in the interest of universities and companies under control of the government in China’.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has reported that citizens of China allegedly tried to steal secrets of the American companies Avago Technologies and Skyworks Solutions. Both companies specialise in development of semiconductor devices.

Both the US and China continue to exchange mutual recriminations in industrial espionage. In May, 2014 the authorities also accused five hackers from China of theft of industrial secrets at Alcoa, Allegheny Technologies, United States Steel Corp, Westinghouse Electric, amoungst other companies.

The state mass media of the People’s Republic of China have in its turn accused the US of a falsification of charges and ‘disorderly conduct’. Moreover, refusal to cooperate with US consulting companies, Beijing declared that all hi-tech products from foreign companies will be subject to safety checks. China continues import substitutions of hi-tech products from western countries.
