The Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (SAICSA) is a division of ICSA and comprises members, graduates and registered students of the Institute residing in Singapore. One of the aims of the Association is to promote and advance efficient administration in the corporate world and industry through the development of the study and practice in chartered secretaryship and professional administration. Often the terms ‘secretary’ and ‘administrator’ are misunderstood and commonly misused, sometimes due to the wide ranging industries the terms can be used in and the diverse roles within those industries. However only qualified members of SAICSA are entitled to call themselves ‘Chartered Secretaries and Administrators’ therefor denoting their professional knowledge and experience within their chosen industry, along with a sound understanding of almost every organizational process from information systems and data security to company law, accountancy, finance, human resource, corporate governance, taxation to mention just a few.
