ACCA has made significant changes to a strategy proposed with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) to develop their Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Exam, which will be made available to ACCA associates in November 2015.
The new procedure will hopefully offer an opportunity for ACCA members to become certified via CIA through a tailored exam, which comprises of key syllabus and learning objectives of the CIA exam.

The Executive Director for ACCA’s strategy and development, Alan Hatfield, states that through this method of teaching, members have already increased their skillset concerned with risk, internal control and corporate governance, all of which are seen as vital features of effective internal auditing processes.
