Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for timely, complete and accurate bookkeeping in the accounting software Sage Accounts and filing of supporting documentation of the Singapore office of Eltoma Corporate Services, including reconciliation of bank accounts, suppliers and customers, etc.
  • Preparation of management accounts in timely, complete and accurate manner in line with the management accounting reporting deadlines and requirements.
  • Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of companies generating activities in Hong Kong and Singapore companies and ensure work is finalised within the required strict deadlines. Training on Singapore and Hong Kong Company accounting and filing requirements and deadlines will be provided.
  • Preparation and filing XBRL with ACRA.
  • Annual Return filing with ACRA.
  • Liaise with the Singapore and Hong Kong Auditors and client for the completion of audit, tax return preparation and filing of financial statements.
  • Assisting the Tax manager in preparation of basic tax computations and filing ECI and Form C/CS for Singapore companies.
  • Assisting the Tax Manager on communications with IRAS for Eltoma (Singapore) and for matters relating to clients of ECS.
  • Be responsible for GST compliance, reporting and filing for Eltoma (Singapore) and ECS clients.
  • Preparing payroll calculation for Eltoma (Singapore) staff.
  • Handling and managing paperwork relating to bookkeeping for Eltoma (Singapore) and its clients.
  • Liaise with Singapore banks on behalf of Eltoma (Singapore) and its clients
  • Liaise with overseas offices to support overseas operations of Eltoma Corporate Services
  • Conducting internal seminars for Eltoma staff on basic accounting and Singapore taxation after necessary knowledge is acquired.
  • Weekly progress reporting and contributing to monthly Eltoma Group MIS reporting.
  • Participating in various projects and ad hoc assignments where required.
  • Keeping timesheet records in Sage Practice Solution.

Requirements and person specification:

  • University or college degree in a quantitative discipline subject (business administration, accounting, economics or finance).
  • Partly or fully qualified Professional Certificate in Accountancy (ACCA or ACA or CPA, etc.).
  • Minimum five years proven work experience in an accounting profession. Experience in one of the Big 4 Accounting firms or other multinational organisation will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in the preparation of both standalone and consolidated financial statements is a must. Knowledge of basics of Singapore taxation will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of both CaseWare and Sage Accounts software will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate and present complex financial information to clients is essential.
  • Fluency in English, additional languages would be considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tax advice, planning, computation and co-ordination of audit of international clients in Singapore. Reporting to Singapore office manager.

Job Description:

  • Preparation of tax computations and returns for Singapore corporate, withholding, indirect and individual taxes and filing them with IRAS.
  • Corporate tax planning and advice.
  • Tax audit and disputes.
  • Singapore tax legislation interpretation and regular updates.
  • Tax policies and procedures formulation.
  • Transfer pricing documentations.
  • Tax research, identification of potential tax risks or tax planning opportunities.
  • Tax input and assistance on HR and payroll related matters.
  • Liaison with Singapore auditors to co-ordinate statutory audit of international clients.
  • Supporting other overseas offices of Eltoma Corporate services (ECS).

Requirements:

  • Diploma or University degree holder with internationally recognised accounting or tax qualification.
  • A minimum of four years’ tax experience in a public accounting firm or MNC with adequate exposure to corporate and individual tax as well as indirect tax issues.
  • A good understanding of Singaporean regional tax issues will be strongly preferred.
  • Strong tax compliance, reporting skills and a solid understanding of local and regional tax regulations with a good understanding of control issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English will be required.
  • Strong team player, adaptable, self-motivated to progress / excels in career and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Organised, detailed-oriented and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Working with ACRA’s BizFile, Ishop and BizFinx tools:
  • Incorporation of new Singapore companies.
  • Filing of all necessary notifications of changes and updates.
  • Filing of Annual Returns.
  • Filing of Amendments of M&AA, etc.
  • Liaison with MOM on clients’ matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Company Administrator with a local Corporate Service Provider.

  • Professional qualification in the field of Company Secretarial work is preferred but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of ACRA website tools.
  • Pro-active with strong organisational skills.

  • Previous corporate administration experience will be an advantage (sound knowledge of corporate incorporation documents in various jurisdictions).

Job Description

  • To ensure regulatory compliance aspects of our business (fund management, investment holding, Fund structures) – key MAS regulatory considerations, including SFA, CDSA, TSOFA and other relevant legislation.
  • Analyse, monitor regulatory developments, and implement measures effectively as applicable.
  • Ensure that appropriate and necessary compliance systems, policies, practices and procedures are in place.
  • Manage records and files keeping for MAS submission and other regulatory requirements.
  • Handle general corporate and regulatory matters, corporate governance and compliance functions.
  • Oversee KYC/AML, FATCA/CRS and other investor onboarding processing requirements.
  • Be involved in BCP testing, internal audit planning, risk management functions.
  • Provide correct and timely assessment of compliance issues and give solutions.
