3/10 recent Singapore graduates quit their first job after less than 12 months

New research has shown that a major percentage of recent graduates in Singapore quit their jobs after less than a year in the company. Monster.com found that as many as 30% of recent graduates stated that they had left their job less than one year after starting.

The majority of surveyed graduates attributed their decision to change in career direction, professional growth and salary despite, almost 50% stating that it took them 3 months or longer to get hired initially. The recruitment website also discovered several discrepancies between aptitude and employer expectations regarding new graduate job seekers level of capability and experience.
